To talk about something that's incredibly important for anyone looking to build lasting success in their business or in personal projects this will be a pretty short episode because the concept is simple but it's not commonly understood so as we all know we live in a world where the idea of getting rich quickly has been sold to us over and over again it's a core tenant of marketing to tell you that it's easy that it's quick that it's fast you see it everywhere ads promising you overnight success courses that claim you can make six figures with just a few hours of work each week or new tools or services or software that assure you that they are the secret sauce you've been missing and it's easy

To fall into this trap of believing that the next shiny product or service that crosses your path is going to be the one that changes everything and you think this is it this is what I finally need to make it big so what do you do you turn your head away from what you're currently doing and you jump right into the new thing you pay for it you start learning about that new product and then you try to make it work but here's the thing when you're constantly chasing the next best thing you're missing out on the real key to success and that key is focus real success doesn't come from hopping from one idea to the next it comes from sustained effort in a single Direction it's about choosing

A path committing to it and putting in the work day after day even when it's not GL glamorous at SuiteDash we have a saying that attempts to be very transparent about what we understand success to be about and that saying is do the work get your life back will help you these aren't just words to us they're a philosophy and we say this because we recognize that building the operating system of your organization or any substantial business Endeavor is not going to be easy but let's face it nothing of real value ever is you have to put in the work you have to stay focused you

Have to build one layer at a time you have to understand each layer it will take time the truth is if you're constantly looking for a shortcut you're chasing something that doesn't exist and the getrich quick mentality is at its core a way of avoiding the hard work that's actually required to build something meaningful it's like running on a treadmill you might feel like you're moving but you're not really getting anywhere you're working hard you're putting in a lot of work but instead of it being focused in a single Direction it gets focused in many directions cut short in this direction refocused into another Direction and therefore it can be frustrating and it's very common so

Don't feel like somehow you are less than or not working up to your potential it's just very common for humans to do this so what can you do instead and the answer is simple you have to focus you have to choose your direction you have to commit to it you have to stop jumping from one solution to another thinking that the next one will magically make everything fall into place instead invest your time and energy into truly understanding and mastering the tools and strategies that align with your goals one of the most powerful things you can do is pick up a piece of paper and a pencil and force yourself to write on that paper exactly the steps that you need to take or exactly

The workflows that your clients need to follow really spell it out before you start trying to build something or configure a solution because then you have an actual map to follow it doesn't have to be a paper and pencil but something about that very tactile feel in your hands can trigger your brain to really become connected to the process but you should do it however you're more comfortable with the ideas is that you need to write down exactly what you need to build before you start building it and after that when you focus and you put in the sustained effort that's when you start to see real progress you begin to build something solid something you can rely on something that can withstand challenges and grow over

Time and it's in that focused consistent effort that you'll find the success you're looking for so the next time you're tempted by the latest Trend or the newest quote Miracle Solution take a moment to pause and ask yourself is this really going to help me move forward or is it just another distraction is my brain wanting to jump to the next thing that's shiny and new to avoid the really hard work maybe it's human nature and it's okay it's normal but knowing this listening to this exact thing that I'm telling you will make you aware of it and then you can sort of see it from a 30,000 foot view and say you know what I'm going to stay focused I'm
